Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro
Camera appears dark in Manycam and all sources it’s sent to. Alternately it’s too bright. Seems to be an issue between camera’s built in light sensor and Manycam.
Camera sent to source by itself looks (normal).
This is not an RGB vs YCR issue as BOTH look way too dark.

Telestream Wirecast seizes control of camera from Manycam.
Start Manycam. Camers is visible in Manycam.
Then start Wirecast. Camera image is black in Manycam and in Wirecast. Webcam itself has visible inage in Wirecast.
I’m having problems. I run ManyCam, set iSight as my source, choose an effect. Now what do I do. How do I start recording? where can I stop? I’d appreciate any help you may offer.

I love the app but! Great tool & great job! Much better then Cam Twist or any other alternative.
Only one minor thing for me, it’s Intel only…
I’ve 1 Intel Mac & 2 PPC Macs, all with iSights!
I don’t know if you have build this app with Xcode? If so, could you try to compile it for both architectures? I don’t think that a Universal version of this program is hard to build (The QTZ files, Frameworks, Plugins, Components, Driver, etc.)… If you want some help you are welcome to send me the source (or parts of the source) and I’ll add the PPC code for you.

I was hoping the new update would fix this, but apparently not. I can launch ManyCam and pick my iMac’s built-in iSight without a problem, but as soon as ManyCam is not the foreground app (like when I launch my browser), the camera shuts off. I can use it to feed stills and other sources into TinyChat, Stickam, etc, but I cannot use any of the video features because the iSight shuts off when I switch from ManyCam’s interface to another program. What’s going on here?

Investigating this issue, thank you for reporting it.
We investigated and found that TinyChat occupies your camera even if it’s not selected as a source (that is bad). So ManyCam cannot use your camera as a source, because the camera is taken by TinyChat.
I don’t know of any other Flash video sites that act this way. I recommend you ask Tinychat why their Flash app behaves this way and if it can be changed so it works like Ustream.tv, Justin.tv and all other Flash video sites.
We plan to add a checkbox in the next version that will help with this problem.
Great software. It seems that the snow leopard support is only the 32bit kernel correct? App works in 64 bit kernel but distributed video feed does not? Will this be addressed? Thanks.

Cool little app. However, documentation seems rather lacking. After selecting “Movies” in the “Sources” tab, I am presented with a greyed-out set of video controls and a “Recent Files” section. How do I select a video to play as my webcam?

I am on a Mac Pro 10.5.8 with the Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro via USB and Manycam does not get any video from it although it is a choice in the Sources.

Ditto, as soon as I click on any other window, manycam quits running.
app works well on my pc, but when using my iMac, I can not select iSight as my webcam source. Also, chatroulette will not recognize the app for mac, but it does recognized and work for PC. Any solutions?
I notice with the MAC OS X version that when it is used with Skype the effects appear reversed in the Skype video window. A quick fix is to flip the image in Manycam but it sorta makes your eyes cross when you look at them in the Manycan video window

Yeah same as ray it wont work in Chat Roulette but it will work with Ichat.
Also how do I add videos to the selection to be played? I have tried dragging and dropping them but that doesnt work.
I am using an older white macbook to.
I also was having trouble selecting ManyCam from the flash settings on ChatRoullette, but I switched from Firefox to Safari (and also downloaded latest version of Flash) and now it works just fine.
So I have been trying but found that this does not work with chatroulette on the mac and I want to know why that might be? It is one of the main reasons I am betting most people here are trying to use it, yet it’s not working! Please fix this ASAP, I don’t want to have to switch to another product!

I had also problems with manycam on chatroulette but then i started to look at a solution and i found it for me. Maybe you call me stupid because i didn’t tought about it, but for the people like me also didn’t tought about it here is the solution
1) start manycam
2) chose effect
3) start chatroulette
4) choose in YOUR webcam screen manycam as your cam
this works fine for me, let me know something if it works

Camfrog will no longer recognize either my internal isight nor external isight after using your product under snow leopard. I tried to uninstall, reinstall and then uninstall again and as far as Camfrog is concerned no camera will transmit.
What can I do?
Update to above:
Chatroulette.com remains biggest problem. Was able to get camfrog to recognize cameras by reinstalling product.
As far as Chatroulette is concerned I can now only use my internal isight and NOT my external one.
Reinstalled Safari, reset cache, reinstalled Flash Player, Repaired permissions all to no effect.
Anyone with Snow Leopard.. it seems not to work with chatroulette.
Still not working with Chatroulette. (I’m on a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.5.8)
It will show the ManyCam input for a split second and then revert back to the iSight feed. Please help. I love ManyCam and do not want to learn new software.
