This new version fixes over 30 bugs and it fixes a specific problem a lot of users were having with dynamic backgrounds. We have also optimized our installer so it uses enhanced driver installation. This means it will let you know if you need to reboot to use ManyCam on your computer.

i cannoy operate the cam, my nephew has try to put his pictures and now we cannot used the webcam. If we are using the webcam his picture is what we are seing. Please assist us

I do a weekend internet tv show and am trying to use the partial area screen capture to play video content from DivX, Windows Media Player, etc.
For some reason, the content on the players is “invisible” to the screen capture window. Any ideas how to fix this?

To Chie, you have to go to Source tab on manycam and on the left it says Camera’s just click that and you will see your camera in there just select it and you will be able to see yourself. If you put a picture in the effects section then you have to go to the Effects Tab and on the top right remove all pics or effects and you will see your cam once u select it from the Source Tab.

I found your program today, and it does everything i was searching for. It just miss one thing. One little thing to be perfect, for me at least.
When i play from a video file, i want to “add” two video files. What i mean is that, after finished playing the first video, it would automatically start playing the second video file.
From what i realized, this isn’t possible. It’s like playlist of movies for manycam to play, and not just one file. It would be perfect for ustream for example. I want to let my pc turn on playing some video files, and would therefore be coul if this feauture would be inclueded in the next version of the program.

I have manycam 2.4 installed on my computer and use for video conferences, sometimes must send files in DVD format (VOB) and the program does not read. Is there a way to use it as player vob through a special codec. or something. I await response, thanks. Leo
I have tried installing ManyCam on my new computer which is running Vista Home Edition Premium (64 bit). My problem is that when I open the program and select my camera source, I get a pop-up from Windows telling me there was a problem and the program closes. Does anyone know how to get around this problem? I absolutely love ManyCam and have been using it for the last year on my “old” computer which was running XP. I miss it and really want to use it again, but I need some help with this new Vista system. Any info I could get would be so greatly appreciated.

Manycam is indeed very unique virtual webcam software, As pedro said, if we can add playlist of videos, as now a days many streaming sites are popping up, I play movies on Justin.tv I would love to have the feature to add list of files in manycam so I can stream the movies while sleeping,

I have a problem using ManyCam 2.4. As soon as the “open dialog” should show (open a file for video, images, etc.), it crashes and comes up with the dialog to report the error.
I am running Windows Vista (version 6.0 Build 6001:Service Pack 1).
My system specs are:
Intel Pentium Dual-core T4200 CPU
4 GB DDR2 RAM
loads of free space
I have used this before on another laptop running Vista, lower system specs, no problems there. Is there a solution for this problem, is this a known bug? Please keep me updated if possible.

great great tool… But the following is not working for me:
-3D Mask
-sound for AVI is not broad casted. The only way is to switch to stereo mixer…
-some instability when swithing may time between desktop / movies/ cam source
I agree it would be awesome if it said add files instead of open
perfect place for a play list. Please please add a play list to the next version. I will donate for the cause if i have to. Your software is a heck of a lot better than webcamm you know what.

I had been using manycam For a while it has been working for me Good No Problems Nothing is Fine….But I think that it would be cool if You guys could Add an Option to make Playlist of Videos That would Be Kool….but Is a goood Pice of Software Comparing wiht other Out there
when I click the SOURCE tab, i only see my logitech camera, not the manycam……. whaat is wrong ?
Also , see above comment, when i record using manycam, it shows image from my logitech cam, not the background from manycam….
I agree with others here. It’s a great piece of software that works with Vista64 bit perfectly for me. I would pay for a version that utilizes a Play list feature allowing us to load several video’s and or movies. Thanks for your hard work and please consider our request. Thank you

I just bought myself some chromakey-background-stuff (some lights, green sheet…) and because I use ManyCam a lot, I’d like to suggest you enhancing the background-effects function with an easy to use chromakey-functionality.. basically it’s already implemented but I’m missing the keying function (color value tolerance). I’d even like to pay for this, about 40 euro (would be 55 dollars) or offer to translate your n!ce piece of software into German. Many others would pay for this, too and there’s no doubt about that. I’d appreciate an enhancement like this very (very) much, the earlier, the better

Hi,
I just started using ManyCam. It works great on my desktop computer but on my laptop .avi files will not open. wmv works fine, but when i try to open an avi an error window pops up saying: File “somefil….avi” can not be opened.
I tried using the same files on both computers one works and the other doesn’t. Seems weird to me. I tried reinstalling a number of times.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Manycam keeps freezing on my PC and I don’t know why, I have vista and everything is up to date. So I just want to know why manycam keeps freezing on my pc.
A couple issues with this program. I know I shouldn’t complain because it’s free and pretty useful, but…
1) I cannot figure out how to view running video from WMPlayer nor VLC using Desktop as my source. It just shows a black image where the video is.
2) I can’t get manycam to load mpeg files for movies. It’s like only AVI files will run. And it can’t be the codecs on my computer because the mpeg files run in VLC and WMPlayer.
Basically I want to stream some videos, but I can’t with either using desktop as a source or movie files as a source.
3) there are no option menus on manycam, I can’t even tell what version it is (no help pull down) and the HELP button clicks but does nothing – it’s like if something works I am happy otherwise I can’t figure out why it doesnt work
I downloaded WebCamMax, downloaded codecs because the video was a little choppy and it works fine streaming my videos. Manycam still won’t load my mpeg files nor show portions of my desktop running video from WMPlayer nor VLC.
Manycam not working with Skype 4.1.0141. The line frequenz are bad, no synchronize in the Skype camera window. By my friends are the same error. Regards Bernd

ManyCam will not work on my webcam. I have a windows live cam. I am kind of disappointed because I thought this was a excellent software. =(
Manycam has been working fine on my vista 64 Q9000 for a couple of months, but please add dvd support or at least vob files, I have presentations in dvd format and Manycam seems to work so good with Flash media encoder and vista that adding dvd support would be great.

Working fine on Win7
But cannot load avi file for background. It appears to be a problem with Indeo 5 codec installation on Win7 – Win 7 and Vista NOT SUPPORTED BY LIGOS.
I have tried to install the codec’s using Win7′s compatibility XP mode , it appears to install ok ,but still won’t work.
With Win 7 due for retail release in October, people will upgrade and no longer be able to use this feature.
Added Support for : Mpeg or Wmv I think is a must.
This is an awesome product keep up good work.
Will there going to be a Japanese flag in the future? Hope soon because I love using manycam soft and recomend it to all my skype friends.

I got the latest manycam, running it on vista home pemium 64 bit.
Only one problim with it, is showing movies, it worked fine on the version before. now I get a green balk under the movie and it isnt showing it in the rite size its flat looking.

hello i installed manycam in my new lap top and now everytime i webcam or take pictures with my camera intall in my computer the manycam.com letters come out and i dont know how to take it off or make it invisible can you guys help me ?? pleasee? or at least help me delete it cuz i dont want it anymore… :/

yeah we definately need a playlist feature and FAST. Its really annoying that somebody could leave that out.

please include PLAYLIST, so we can stream video files in sequence without putting the files one by one.
Ive been using Manycam since June and it has worked pretty well. My question is, when I download the new version, will it import all the saved graphics from the old version, or will they all be wiped out? Im sure not going to upgrade if I end up losing 7 months of video effects I have downloaded..lol
Love the program, i really do.. I just wish there was a (1) timer or countdown for the current movie playing on the video and (2) the ability to make a playlist when using ‘Movies’ as a source…

I have many-cam 2.4 and i pull it up and go to source… i click on still images and click one of the images… i know its supposed to have the picture come up but it doesnt… it isnt a black screen either… it shows what ever is behind it… lets say i have google up… i click manycam from my lower bar thing and instead of a picture or a black screen i see part of google… did i do something wrong or whats going on? Help?
