ManyCam 2.6.60 Released (Windows)

ManyCam 2.6.60 for Windows is now available for download.

This new version allows ManyCam users to copy and paste into our text over video box feature.  We have also fixed many small bugs including one problem that caused some users to have a strange yellow box around their local video.  ManyCam should now work even more dependably for live video broadcasters and all other users of our software.  Thanks for using ManyCam.

  2. admin says:

We hope to bring back recording very soon. It was changed due to a licensing issue outside our control, sorry.

I use this a lot, when I’m in live video chat~ in tokbox. It worked wonderfully until the software had updated, then once I went back into video chat~ I noticed my video was “choppy.” ~I uninstalled ManyCam, then a few days later, I re-installed it. ~I seem to still have a “choppy” video, but not as bad. I would like to know if there are some kind of bugs, or issues going on with this updated version. ~Other folks in the video chat don’t seem to have this issue, but I’m not sure. Unless, my video image looks fine to them, but is “choppy” on my end??? ~I don’t get it.
Thought I would post this comment, to see if feedback would help, and see if something could be addressed about this issue.

    Thank you.

I am trying to use the manycam software but it is not sending video at 30 frames per second. It seems to only stream at about 22 FPS. Can you tell me if I am missing a setting somewhere?

  16. admin says:

Streaming speed can be limited by slower hardware sometimes.

i’ve been using manycam for a long time to capture images and find it bothersome not to be able to save all the photos together. i wish we could just choose all the photos we want to save and save them all at once instead of clicking them one by one.

also, it cannot take more than 999 pictures. when i took the 1000th picture, the application automatically closed and all the pictures i captured earlier were gone!

  18. admin says:

    Amel,

We will try to add a much better snapshot system. Also that’s crazy about the 999 pictures, we will try to recreate that bug and fix it!

ManyCam will not on install on windows 7 professional 64-bit installer hangs at Installing video driver and stays that way until you force the process to quit or reboot. Why?

    Hello,
First — THANK YOU — for ManyCam. We use it as a switcher for a live webcast, and it has been working great for several months.
Recently, we have been noticing delay a problem when going from a live camera to a pre-recorded video. The video feed freezes for up to 25-seconds before the video starts playing. The computer is 3.2mHz w/ 12Gb ram and 2Tb Drive, premium Vid card running W7-Pro. Do you have an idea of how to fix this?
    Thanks!

  22. David says:

    correction: 3,2GHZ (not MHZ).

Thumbs up for Many Cam! Love everything about it except…… Is there anyway to copy / insert a bunch of self made objects / images into ManyCam? One by one takes a looooooooooooooong time. Other than that my students enjoy Many Cam very much!

  25. why says:

why does it crash constantly when im trying to play avi videos on win7x64?

  26. PawnStar says:

This is all well and good, and I enjoy your software both for the functionality and the free-ness (Open Source would be nice, but I’ll take what I can get), but my helpless laptop cannot run Windows or Mac OS. When can I expect a Linux port of ManyCam?

I ask only because I can’t get WebCamStudio to work on there (a massive problem in the build tree for compiling vLoopBack), and I would very much enjoy this functionality on my laptop.

Hi! Please implement a timer and presets to load a set of backgrounds, frames and objects at a time and a list of these presets to take automatic all these sets. Sorry for bad english.. U may understand what i want to say.

Have used Manycam for a few years now on a variety of chatroom sites, and although all works well on skype I am having problems using it via Live/MSN..
The video displays as a green screen display in the top right quadrant of a 2×2 box.. This has been so for the last 2 or 3 upgrades and i have hoped would be fixed, it worked fine before that.
The rest of my system remains unchanged since it was working. All flash and java updates are done etc.

Can you please advise how to fix this problem as i often try to display vids within the sites i use and individually via msn.
